Watercolour Curious is a kit containing a carefully curated palette of watercolour paints that enables beginner and experienced artists to experiment with new pigments.

Each seasonal palette is a set of 4 colours that capture the mood of the season and that are hand curated to work well together. I include only high-quality, professional artist grade paints and try to select unique single pigment colours that are normally not found in beginner sets.

Included with each palette is a Discovery Sheet that provides guided exploration of different ways to mix the paints to create an inspiring range of hues and shades. The kit also includes two pieces of heavy weight 100% cotton watercolour paper, so you can use the results of your colour exploration to create your own beautiful, vibrant artwork on artist quality paper.

Spring 2023 -- Crocus Palette

Feb 27, 2023 This palette is inspired by the first colours of spring, and the first flowers to come up. Finally, the colours of spring are starting to make themselves known again. The oranges and violets of spring are a welcome splash of bright, clear colour after the winter.

Winter 2023 -- New Year's Palette

Dec 30, 2022 This palette is inspired by the crisp cool colours of winter, and the brightness of the new year. A new palette for a new year! Winter weather brings frost and snow, which means a cool, crisp range of blues. Winter also means shorter days and spending more time inside with warm incandescent colours.

Autumn 2022 -- Serviceberry Palette

Nov 6, 2022 This palette is inspired by the serviceberry trees that grow at the end of my street. These are Sorbus torminalis, in the same genus as rowan or mountain ash.
